Junior Quantity Surveyor

Office based in Dublin West. Experience: 3 – 5 years
Qualification: Degree in Quantity Surveying. Salary: Negotiable DOE
Immediate Start.

  • Experience in commercial office fit out and small works is preferred, but not essential, with good commercial awareness essential.
  • Knowledge of Buildsoft/Cubit packages preferred.
  • Capable of working as part of a team of Quantity Surveyors. 
  • Preparation of estimates, valuations and cost reports and assisting in Final Account preparation.
  • Competent in dealing with sub-contractors and the supply chain generally.
  • Liaising with other professional project team members.

Assistant Small Works/FM Manager

Dublin based role out with office in Dublin West. Experience: 3 – 5 years
Qualification: Construction/FM qualification, but trade or building services background will be considered.
Salary: Negotiable DOE. Immediate Start

  • Experience in facilities management/fit out in the commercial office environment ideally.
  • Working in conjunction with and reporting to the Small Works/FM Manager.
  • Experience of liaising with and managing sub-contractors.
  • Scheduling periodic maintenance works and small capital projects. 
  • Liaising with FM Quantity Surveyor in relation to costs/invoicing.
  • Excellent Client facing skills essential.

Fit Out Site Manager

Experience Level: 3 – 5 years. Location: Dublin 2.
Immediate Start. Contract Role initially until end January 2018.
Salary: Negotiable DOE

  • Construction qualification required or trade background will potentially be considered with relevant fit out experience.
  • Experience managing/coordination of day to day running of small fit out project.
  • First Aid/Safe Pass required.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards for construction required.

Bid & Pre Construction Manager

Role Overview

To improve organisational effectiveness, a new role has been created on the Leadership team for an ‘up and coming’ and ambitious Bid & Pre Construction Manager.  In summary the main areas of responsibility include business development, bid management and compilation, pre-construction project planning, technical direction and oversight of technical aspects of projects. The main purpose of the role is to build FKM’s brand and identify and convert commercial opportunities into profitable revenue and sustainable growth.

The Bid & Pre Construction Manager will report to the CEO and will fully ‘own’ the Fit-out and FM Sales number, together with marketing outputs company-wide.


  • ‘Own’ the Fit-out and FM sales target and ensure all tenders and proposals are innovative and reflect FKM’s bespoke offer, and target profit margins are embedded.
  • ‘Own’ the conversion of prioritised opportunities towards a successful win.
  • Develop excellent relationships with existing clients to understand their needs, secure repeat and recurring business and to secure referrals.
  • Develop excellent relationships with all cohorts of work-feeders to ensure partnering opportunities and cross referrals are maximised.
  • ‘Be’ accountable for project handovers to Fit-out and FM operations, and only become immersed in the pre-Construction phase with the express approval of the CEO.
  • ‘Be’ the FKM Brand champion together with the Executive Chair and CEO, and network, lobby and influence to grow FKM’s Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Together with the Business Development & Marketing Co-ordinator, own the marketing budget/spend and develop the Company’s marketing plan to ensure it is tightly aligned with strategic objectives and business development targets, and marketing deliverables are to quality and timescale.
  • Track market developments and trends to identify, formulate and propose commercial opportunities and business plans for new products, services and markets.
  • Monitor performance on all BD activities using Scorecard metrics and prepare reports and analyses for the Board.
  • Contribute to the formulation of budgets and forecasts for all sales and marketing activities Company-wide.
  • Model high standards of performance, professionalism and commercialism in all internal and market interactions.
  • Cultivate highly productive working relationships with (in particular) the Operations Director,  Business Development & Marketing Co-ordinator and Financial Controller, to ensure a profitable flow of contracts that builds FKM’s brand and delivers 100% utilisation of direct resources.

Attributes, Experience and Qualifications

The successful Candidate will have the following attributes, experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within the construction sector with a track-record in developing excellent relationships, delivering to plan and being a ‘completer/finisher’.
  • A degree in a business (or similar) and/or in a construction or engineering discipline.
  • Highly commercial in orientation with evidence of creating business development opportunities and successfully delivering the desired results.
  • Strong technically-minded to understand client and prospect needs and commercially astute in ensuring FKM’s financial goals are achieved. Can be a straight talker, when the situation warrants it (both internally and externally).
  • Gravitas to operate within external networks and with decision makers and influence through strong communication skills, impactful messages and personal integrity/credibility.
  • Leadership ability to influence, develop and empower individuals and teams to achieve objectives.
  • A natural collaborator, who respects clients, colleagues and contractors and encourages team work.
  • A willingness to learn and be mentored by the Executive Chairman & CEO.
  • A critical and innovative thinker, a strong problem-solving orientation and cool under pressure.
